Montreal Alouettes News Release

Montreal - The Montreal Alouettes announced on Thursday that the team will host two coaches from every university football team in Quebec, as well as from the Montreal Blitz, women's professional football team, during its next training camp.

In assuming its role of football leader in the province of Quebec, all while allowing its coaches to further develop themselves, the Alouettes organization has asked every university in Quebec and the Blitz to send two coaches to its upcoming training camp.

"We sit atop the football pyramid in Quebec, and we want to take concrete steps in that direction, which is why we are inviting all these coaches to our training camp," said Alouettes General Manager Danny Maciocia. "We want to help develop coaches from here. They will be able to take part in a professional camp, as they will actively take part in the team's practices and meetings. They will have unlimited access to our coaching staff. We want to build lasting relationships with our coaches from here."

Throughout training camp, the coaches will have the opportunity to watch the Alouettes coaching staff in action from up close, all while exchanging with them. They will be actively participating in the team's practices and meetings. The Alouettes camp will take place at the Stade Diablos in Trois-Rivières, from May 15 to June 2.

Chérif Nicolas (Bishop's University Gaiters), Brad Collinson (Concordia University Stingers), Glen Constantin (Université Laval Rouge et Or), Ronald Hilaire (McGill University Redbirds), Marco Iadeluca (Université de Montréal Carabins) and Mathieu Lecompte (Université de Sherbrooke Vert & Or), as well as Saadia Ashraf (Montreal Blitz) will each send two coaches from their staffs to the Alouettes training camp. They will be able to count on the Alouettes support during the 2022 training camp and beyond. The name of the selected coaches will be divulged at a later date.

The current Alouettes coaching staff is composed of three former Quebec university players and coaches: André Bolduc, Luc Brodeur-Jourdain and Byron Archambault.
