The Akron RubberDucks scored 11 runs in the seventh inning to cement their 17-2 win over the Senators Wednesday night in Akron. The 11 runs were the second most a team has scored in a single frame against the Senators. Harrisburg scored their two runs in the ninth inning. Akron moves into first place with four games remaining in the first half.
Luis Reyes went the first five innings and allowed six runs on seven hits. He was followed by Alberto Guerrero, Dakody Clemmer and Danny Dopico. Akron had 16 hits and drew eight walks.
Jackson Cluff and Jecksson Flores both had RBI singles in the ninth inning for Harrisburg.
Akron sent 16 batters to the plate in the seventh inning and didn't make an out until the 12th batter came to the plate. The Sens have given up home runs in five straight games.
