Club Crush Opens Bailey Brenner Fund

March 30, 2004 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I)
Colorado Crush News Release

NEW YORK – Club Crush, the official booster club of the Colorado Crush, has begun a charitable fund to benefit BAILEY BRENNER, the two-year-old daughter of Crush kicker ANTHONY BRENNER and his wife, Jennifer.

Bailey suffers from an undetermined neurological disorder, resulting in frequent seizures. Although her condition continues to improve, the family's medical expenses have exceeded $200,000.

Brenner returned to the AFL in 2004 following a four-season absence to take advantage of AFL medical benefits to help pay for the mounting medical bills. Brenner was a teammate of Colorado assistant coach LEE JOHNSON when both played for the Charlotte Rage from 1995-96. After a workout with the Crush this offseason, Brenner signed as free agent. Now in his fifth season, Brenner is ranked second in scoring among kickers (67 points) and has helped Colorado to a 6-2 record and the Central Division lead.

In addition to public donations to the Bailey Brenner Fund, Club Crush, which tailgates before each Colorado home game in the parking lot of the Pepsi Center, launched the "Bailey Bucket Brigade" on Saturday night. All around the arena, buckets bearing Bailey's photo were available for fans to make donations.

To contribute to the fund, make checks payable to Bailey Brenner and send to: Guaranty National Bank and Trust, Attn: Miracle Ford, 1331 17th St., Denver, CO 80202. For more information about Club Crush, log on to www.clubcrush.com.
