
Club America to Face Santos Laguna in Friendly Match at BBVA Compass Stadium on December 29

HOUSTON - BBVA Compass Stadium will close out 2018 by hosting the last game of the 2018 Tour Ãguila, presented by PRIMETIME Sports and Club América, on Saturday, December 29. For this special occasion, Club América will face Club Santos Laguna, the current Liga MX champions. Both clubs currently stand on top of the 2018 Apertura Liga MX and are strong candidates for the title.
The match is scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. CST kickoff at BBVA Compass Stadium, home of the Houston Dynamo of Major League Soccer. There will be a Fan Fest prior to the game outside the stadium consisting of live music, food, team mascots, championship trophies, and autographs from team legends.
Tickets will be available to the general public on Friday, November 16 at 10 a.m. CST starting at $35, with general admission tickets for kids under 12 available for $20. Houston Dynamo and Dash Season Ticket Members will receive an exclusive presale opportunity beginning on Wednesday, November 14 at 10 a.m. CST and will receive exclusive discounted pricing during the presale window.
Tickets will be available at BBVACompassStadium.com, at the stadium's box office, by phone at 1-800-668-8080, and at select points of sale.
Through 16 weeks of the 2018 Liga MX Apertura season, América sit second in the table with a record of 8-2-6 (W-L-D) and 30 points, three points out of first place. Santos, the 2018 Clausura champions, are fourth with a record of 8-3-5 and 29 points.

Every time either team comes to Houston, their fans fill our stadium with such amazing energy that makes of their games a fantastic experience," said BBVA Compass Stadium General Manager Juan Rodriguez. "We hope to bring this type of world-class event every holiday season, so families can come together and spend the holidays with us."
Club América is one of the most iconic clubs in Liga MX, with 12 championships to their credit and one of the largest fan bases in the country. Las Aguilas may feature stars such as midfielder Diego Lainez, a rising star on the Mexican National Team, and goalkeeper AgustÃn MarchesÃn. America's recent years success includes winning the Liga MX Clausura 2013 and Apertura 2014 and winning the CONCACAF Champions League in back-to-back years in 2015 and 2016.
Santos Laguna return to BBVA Compass Stadium for the first time in two years. They previously played Tigres in Houston on October 7, 2016. Los Guerreros may feature one of Liga MX's top goal scorers FW Julio Furch, who has scored 12 goals in the current season. After winning the 2018 Liga MX Clausura season last May, Santos earned a spot in the 2019 CONCACAF Champions League and could potentially face the Houston Dynamo in that competition next spring.
