Ontario Clippers News Release
ONTARIO, Calif. - The Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario (15-14) fall to the Long Island Nets (19-10) on Sunday afternoon, 117-107.
After going into halftime with a 14-point deficit, Long Island outscores the Clippers in the second half 63-39, with help from a huge 34-10 run that spanned from the 3:19 mark in the third to the 4:30 mark in the fourth.
Two-way center Alan Williams led Long Island with a 25 point, 10 rebound double-double.
Agua Caliente did themselves no favors in the second half, scoring only 39 points after a 68-point first half. They shot only 27.3 percent from the field in the final frame and 39.4 percent for the game.
Seven of the nine Clippers that suited up scored in double figures, led by Anthony Bennett's 19 points off the bench.
The Clippers look to end their six-game homestand in winning fashion on Wednesday night as they host the Lakeland Magic. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7 p.m. PDT inside the Citizens Business Bank Arena.
