ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Clippers (5-1), the NBA G League affiliate of the LA Clippers, win their fifth consecutive game, defeating the Stockton Kings (1-4), 116-112, on Tuesday night in Ontario.
Nate Darling led the Clippers with 22 points and five assists on the night. Keaton Wallace added 20 points, six assists, and four rebounds. Juwan Morgan contributed with a double-double, scoring 13 points and pulling down 10 boards.
Stockton's Neemias Queta led all scorers with 23 points and filled up the statline, recording six rebounds, five assists, four blocks, and two steals. Chima Moneke added a 16-point, 10-rebound double-double in the defeat.
After Ontario led by as much as 12 in the first half, the Kings climbed back and stayed within striking distance and knotting things up late in the third quarter. Things looked bleak for Stockton as the Clippers regained a double-digit lead midway through the fourth but a 23-11 run gave the Kings their first lead since the first quarter. After a couple of lead changes, clutch free throws and a Keaton Wallace three pointer sealed the game for Ontario.
Next up, the Clippers look to keep their streak rolling as they take on the Salt Lake City Stars on Thursday, November 17. The game tips off at 7 pm PT inside the Toyota Arena.
