Clipper Magazine Stadium to Host 2nd Annual LeSean McCoy Celebrity Softball Game

LANCASTER, PA - Philadelphia Eagles superstar, LeSean McCoy, is returning to Lancaster, PA and Clipper Magazine Stadium to host the 2nd Annual LeSean McCoy Celebrity Softball Game on Saturday, June 22, 2013.

Over 7,000 fans enjoyed last year's inaugural softball game as NFL stars including DeSean Jackson, Michael Vick, Torrey Smith, Brian Westbrook, Hugh Douglas, Jeremy Maclin, and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie displayed their athletic prowess for the avid sports fans of Central Pennsylvania. McCoy has compiled an even more extensive invitation list of NFL players for this June's game.

"Our first Celebrity Softball Game was fantastic," McCoy said, "The players, fans and families, had an amazing time. I am so proud of what we accomplished. We raised significant money for ALS and supported programs for the disadvantaged youth of Central PA. I am inviting all my friends and teammates to come back to Lancaster for the second annual LeSean McCoy Celebrity Softball Game on Saturday, June 22nd - AND, this year - I plan to win the Home Run Derby!"

Gates will open at Clipper Magazine Stadium on June 22nd at 5:00 p.m. A home run derby will be held at 6:00 p.m. followed by the celebrity softball game beginning at 7:00 p.m. Other new and exciting elements are being developed for the evening and will be announced at a future date.

Tickets for the LeSean McCoy Celebrity Softball Game will go on sale Wednesday, April 3rd at 10:00 a.m. Dugout box seats will be available for $40, field box seats will be $20 and lawn seats will be $10. "With the monies raised through the LeSean McCoy Celebrity Softball Game, the LeSean McCoy Foundation has been able to help a number of organizations, all in support of our mission as a foundation," said LeSean McCoy Foundation officials.

With the funds raised at last year's game, The LeSean McCoy Foundation was able to, among other things:

- Provide Christmas toys to the Boys and Girls Club and the Salvation Army

- Donate sporting equipment to the Police Athletic League

- Provide to families affected by ALS a football outing and winter vacation

- Provide winter coats and backpacks stocked with school supplies to disadvantaged youth in Central PA

- Provide winter jackets to a women's and children's shelter in Philadelphia

The LeSean McCoy Foundation, a charitable, tax-exempt, 501(c) (3) organization, is dedicated to promoting the empowerment of people in the communities of Pennsylvania, protecting its environments, respecting cultural diversity, and raising funds for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis ("ALS"). This volunteer organization is established to assist communities at-risk and to bring an awareness of the deadly neurodegenerative disease ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease).
