Cleveland's Lake Erie Monsters announced the release of their 76-game regular season schedule for the upcoming 2015-16 season earlier today. This season will mark the American Hockey League team's ninth campaign in Cleveland, and first as the primary developmental affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Monsters home opener is set for Friday, October 16th at 7:00 p.m. against the Iowa Wild at Quicken Loans Arena. The season opener for the Monsters is scheduled for Friday, October 9th at 7:05 p.m. vs. the Rochester Americans at Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, NY.

The Monsters '15-16 schedule includes a slate of 25 weekend home games, of which there are 12 Friday night games, 10 Saturday games (including three Sat. afternoon contests) and three Sunday matinees. Among the weekend home games are a clash with the Manitoba Moose the day after Thanksgiving on Friday, November 27th, at 7:00 p.m. and a Saturday, December 26th matchup with the rival Grand Rapids Griffins at 7:00 p.m.

A 10-game road swing from December 31st, 2015 to January 18th, 2016 marks the longest stretch away from home for the Monsters in '15-16.
