Clermont Reassigned to Albany Devils

ALBANY, N.Y. - Goaltender Maxime Clermont has been reassigned on loan by the New Jersey Devils from the Kalamazoo Wings (ECHL) to the Albany Devils. The announcement was made by Albany General Manager Chris Lamoriello.

Clermont, 19, was originally reassigned by New Jersey to Kalamazoo on Oct. 7. He is in his first professional season after spending the last four years with Gatineau of the QMJHL. Last year, he appeared in 48 regular season games and 21 playoff outings, leading Gatineau to the league finals. In 2010-11, he posted a 28-10-5 record with a 2.55 goals-against average and a .896 save percentage. A native of Montreal, Clermont was drafted by New Jersey 174th overall during the 2010 NHL Draft.

The AHL Devils welcome the Hershey Bears to the Times Union Center on Friday, Oct. 21 for a 7 p.m. contest.
