Clemens and Ramos Show Propel Skeeters to Walkoff Win

The Skeeters started the game off slow, but it is not how you start it is how you finish. The Skeeters ended the game with a walkoff win 7-6 in the bottom of the tenth. SugarLand was not able to produce much through the first five innings. They fell behind early after a two run homerun in the second off the bat of Ryan Harvey. Harvey drove in one more, and scored another in the fourth to make it 4-0.
The Skeeters pushed across a run on a sac fly off the bat of Dominic Ramos, to make it 4-1 in the bottom of the fourth inning. Entering the bottom of the sixth inning the Skeeters were trailing 4-1 when Dominic Ramos singled down the left field line to cut the Barnstormer lead in half to 4-2. The Barnstormers added two insurance runs in the ninth inning to push the lead to 6-2.
Then in the ninth inning the Skeeters tied it at 6-6 on a three-run shot to deep left field off the bat of Koby Clemens. The Skeeters walked it off in the tenth when Dominic Ramos hit a homerun to left-center field for his third RBI of the game.

Gilbert De La Vara: 3IP, 0BB, 0H, 3K
Adam Godwin: 3 for 5 with 2 SB and scored a run
Dominic Ramos: 2 for 4, (walk off homerun), 3 RBI, and a run scored
Koby Clemens: 2-5 HR, 3RBI, (game tying homerun in the 9th inning) and a run scored.
Skeeters Bullpen: Retired 15 straight batters
Up Next: A twi-night double-header, featuring an early 11:05 am start for the second straight day of Baseball in Education sponsored by Smart Financial Credit Union. It will be followed by a 7:05PM game two.
