
Cleats for Kids Hosts Summer Kickoff Saturday

OKLAHOMA CITY - The teen board of Oklahoma Cleats for Kids hosts its Summer Kickoff Saturday, May 31 from 4-8 p.m. at the Chesapeake Energy lawn just west of the campus near Western Avenue. The event is in conjunction with Energy FC's pregame lawn event, which takes place from 4-6:30 p.m.
The Summer Kickoff event is to raise awareness of the C4K mission and to help every child that wants to participate in sports have access to sports shoes and safe equipment. Cleats for Kids is a strategic partner of Fields and Futures, the official community partner of OKC Energy FC.
Admission to the event is free and includes obstacle courses, rock climbing, face painting and soccer. Sports bands are available for purchase for a volleyball tournament. Bands are $5 for children 11 and under and $10 for ages 12 and up.
Live music provided by Part Time Savants, and food is available from Roxy's Ice Cream, Big Truck Tacos, Kona Ice and Kaiteki Ramen.
Raffle and door prizes are available. Fans receive a free raffle ticket with the donation of a gently used sporting good.
All monies raised support the Cleats for Kids mission. Cleats for Kids is a 501(c)3 organization based in Oklahoma City. For more information, visit OKCleatsforKids.org.
