It's a touchdown for Toronto as the City raises the Toronto Argonauts flag to celebrate the team's 150th anniversary
The City of Toronto will hold a flag-raising ceremony to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Toronto Argonauts Football Club tomorrow. The Toronto Argonauts are North America's oldest professional sports franchise, still using their original name.
Date: Wednesday, October 4
Time: 9 a.m.
Location: Courtesy flagpole, Podium Roof, Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen Street W
Argo fans are invited to attend and show their support at City Hall.
The ceremony will include remarks by Mayor Olivia Chow and Michael "Pinball" Clemons, General Manager of the Argos, with a special appearance from Jason the Argonaut, the team's mascot. Also in attendance will be current and former Argos team members, including:

Founded on October 4, 1873, the Argos hold the Canadian Football League record for Grey Cup titles with 18 wins to their credit. As part of its anniversary celebrations, the club, in cooperation with Football Toronto, will host the Argos Cup, a flag football tournament featuring teams from 20 schools across the Greater Toronto Area. The team is also set to face the Edmonton Elks on October 6 with a special pre-game tailgate and a halftime event planned.
