SAN DIEGO â The San Diego Gulls announced Wednesday that Andrew Canzanello and Joel Stepp have been assigned by the American Hockey League's Cincinnati Mighty Ducks. The Gulls also announced that Grady Moore has been activated from the injured list, while Nick Ganga and Chris Lynch were both placed on injured reserve.
Canzanello, 23, began the season with the Gulls before being recalled to Cincinnati on Jan. 21. In 17 games for the Mighty Ducks, the 5-foot-11-inch, 190-pound native of Rochester, Minn. recorded four points (all assists) and 30 penalty minutes. Canzanello, who was named to the ECHL All-Star team this season, has registered 17 points (3g, 14a) and 35 penalty minutes in 30 games for San Diego.

The 6-foot, 215-pounder from Torquay, Saskatchewan notched 14 points (7g, 7a) and 28 penalty minutes last season for the Mighty Ducks â his rookie year. He was a third round selection of the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. Stepp will wear No. 40 for the Gulls.
Moore, 26, was acquired by San Diego on Feb. 4 from the Dayton Bombers in a three-team deal that sent Trevor Koenig and Colin Shields to the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies. In 42 games combined with San Diego and Dayton, the 5-foot-11-inch, 180-pound native of Castlegar, British Columbia has scored 15 points (3g, 12a) while amassing 40 penalty minutes.
