The QMJHL announced yesterday that the league will extend the holiday break this year, pausing all activities effective immediately until January 3rd 2021.
We want to take a moment to thank our fans for the continued support this season. Although this past year has been difficult for many, it is greatly appreciated by the organization as well as the players to see our fans in the building cheering on the team throughout this everchanging season.
With the current situation regarding COVID-19 in the Maritimes and Quebec, we support the league's decision to put the season on pause. The safety of our players, fans and community are our first priority right now and we look forward to seeing everyone back at the Avenir Centre in the new year to continue the season!
The games that were scheduled to be played during this timeframe have been postponed. It is important to remember that they have not been cancelled, we still have lots of time during the second half of this season to reschedule these games. We are very fortunate that we were able to play during this first half of the season when many other league's around the country were not able to start. We will pick-up that momentum once again in January when we are back on the ice!
Please find below a list of postponed home games - as soon as we have new dates for these rescheduled games we will pass that info along to you. Following the players return on January 3rd they will need to go through a confinement period, therefore some games in early January are also subject to postponement.
