CHL Conferences Taking Place This Weekend
June 3, 2009 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Colorado Eagles News Release
Chandler, Ariz. - The Central Hockey League's annual conferences will be taking place Thursday, June 4 thru Saturday, June 6 outside of Phoenix, Arizona. Every year, CHL brass and representatives (owners, general managers, coaches and front office staff) from each of the league's teams gather to collaborate on the previous and upcoming seasons and general trends within the industry.
Stay tuned to ColoradoEagles.com for any major team news that comes out of this weekend's meetings. Last year, the Eagles were named the CHL's Franchise of the Year along with winning several awards within the front office, including being named the Ticket Sales Franchise of the Year for the fifth straight time.
In addition, certain league rules are evaluated, tweaked or implemented during the weekend's team Governors' meetings. Last season, the league realigned its divisions, voted to keep the previous season's playoff format in tact and adjusted the league's veteran rule to exempt goaltenders.
