
Gorillas sign Saint Johns' Connelly

Amarillo, TX 6/3/09 - In his third season at Saint John's University, Jonnies forward Pat Connelly has signed with the Amarillo Gorillas for the 2009-10 season.
Connelly, 22 (10/11/86), will begin his professional hockey career with the Gorillas' organization. In three seasons with Saint John's, the senior alternate captain earned 50 points (30 goals and 20 assists) through 77 games.
"Pat looks to be one of our young prospects that should give our team an energy boost this season," said Gorillas General Manager Robert Simmons. "We hope Pat will enjoy his stay in Amarillo."
"Patrick is a young man with a ton of skill," expressed Gorillas Head Coach Brian Pellerin. "He will make our team stronger with his work ethic and unique skill set."
The Birchwood, Minnesota (located 45 minutes South of Duluth, Minnesota) native attended White Bear Lake High School, where he led the Bears in goals (25) and assists (12) during his senior season.
