Chivas USA waives midfielder Carlos Borja

CARSON, Calif. (Monday, August 13, 2007) - Chivas USA today waived midfielder Carlos Borja, a former Chivas USA U-19 player. Borja signed a Developmental Contract with Chivas USA on July 19, 2006. The 19-year-old played three Reserve Division matches for Chivas USA in 2006, logging 270 minutes and six Reserve Division matches in 2007, logging two goals in 423 minutes.

The move opens up a spot on Chivas USA's Developmental Roster. Chivas USA now has two spots available on its 28-man roster: one Developmental slot and one Senior Roster slot.
