CARSON, Calif. (Tuesday, March 23, 2010) - Chivas USA announced today that it has waived defender Carey Talley and goalkeeper Jon Conway ahead of Wednesday's Roster Compliance Date. Talley, a 12-year MLS veteran, joined the Red-and-White in 2008 and made 43 regular season appearances (42 starts) for the team in two seasons.

"Carey provided leadership and strong play for us in the last two seasons," said Chivas USA Vice President of Soccer Operations Stephen Hamilton. "This year, both he and the club decided to move in a different direction. We would like to thank him for his service to Chivas USA, and wish him the best of luck in the next phase of his career."

The Red-and-White also announced that the team has waived goalkeeper Jon Conway, who joined the club on Sept. 11, 2009 after several seasons with New York and San Jose. Conway made one appearance with the club, in the Sept. 23 ChivaClásico between Chivas USA and Chivas de Guadalajara.

"Jon was with our club for a short time but made his presence felt in a very positive way," said Hamilton. "We wish him well both in this season and beyond."

Chivas USA opens the 2010 season this Friday, March 26, against the Colorado Rapids at The Home Depot Center.
