Club Deportivo Chivas USA News Release

CARSON, Calif. (Monday, September 13, 2010) - The second-ever ChivaClásico kicks off on Tuesday night at 8:00 p.m. PT at PETCO Park in San Diego, and Chivas USA will be wearing its home uniform, which include the traditional red-and-white stripes. Guadalajara will wear its away uniforms, a white shirt that recently made its debut during the second leg of the Copa Libertadores final.

"The red-and-white stripes of Chivas mean a lot to both organizations, and we're honored to wear them on Tuesday night," said Chivas USA Head Coach Martín Vásquez. "We're looking forward to a great match against Guadalajara, and happy to bring this game to San Diego."

Guadalajara's new away jersey features green trim and was launched for this season to honor 200 years of Mexican independence. September 16 is the celebration of Mexico's Independence Day, and Guadalajara will wear its jersey on Tuesday for just the second time in competition as part of the celebrations. Both teams' jerseys will be on sale at the match; Guadalajara's shirt only recently became available in the United States.

The second-ever ChivaClásico kicks off tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 14, at 8:00 p.m. PT at PETCO Park in San Diego, Calif. Tickets are on sale at padres.com/chivas, the PETCO Park Box office, or by phone at (619) 795-5555.
