Carson, Calif. (Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013) - Chivas USA and USL-Premier Development League side FC Tucson announced today the clubs will square off in the 2013 FC Tucson Fall Showcase on Friday, Nov. 15, 2013 at 7 p.m. (PT).

The friendly will mark FC Tucson's inaugural match at the North Stadium at Kino Sports Complex. Fans can purchase tickets to the event beginning at noon on Thursday, Oct. 31, on FCTucson.com .

"It's a fantastic opportunity and very important for us to participate with FC Tucson in an exhibition game, as it will help us to stay active during the off-season," said Chivas Director of Soccer Francisco Palencia. "We come into this game knowing that they have a good fan base behind them and a great facility, so we are taking it very seriously, with the mentality of enjoying every minute of it while also treating it with the same significance and professional attitude we approach every game."

Chivas USA's traveling roster will be bolstered by former U.S. Men's National Team captain Carlos Bocanegra at the helm of the defense, along with Ecuadorian national Oswaldo Minda in the midfield. The Red-and-White's young rising Mexican star Erick "Cubo" Torres will lead the attack against FC Tucson, aiming to prove once again why the striker was awarded the club's Golden Boot in the 2013 MLS regular season with seven goals.

"This is just another chapter in the story of soccer's growth in Tucson," added the FC Tucson ownership in a joint statement. "We're incredibly proud to be a part of this story and continue to put our stake in our version of the world's game. To play an MLS team in the first event in our new home is a dream come true. And a tremendous thank you to Pima County and Kino Sports Complex, Desert Diamond Casino, Chapman Automotive and all of our corporate partners. Finally, we want to thank our tremendous soccer community because we all can share in this beautiful new home."

FC Tucson's new stadium has a capacity of 2,360, and in addition to it, Pima County added a soccer field to the five that were already in place. Moreover, they included a brand new, soccer-themed entrance to the north side of the Kino Sports Complex. Aiming to host a celebration of the sport in every game, FC Tucson also built an exclusive observation deck located on top of the new concession stands, as well as a fan zone along the walkway leading up to the stadium.

Chivas USA will continue to train until Thursday, Nov. 14 when they travel to Tucson, Ariz. to take on their next and final opponent of the 2013 campaign.
