Club Deportivo Chivas USA News Release

CARSON, Calif. (Tuesday, June 9, 2009) - Chivas USA defender Ante Jazic has been removed from the club's Disabled List, making the 33-year-old eligible to participate in official MLS games. Jazic, who has traveled with Chivas USA for its away matches this week at Houston and Columbus, had been sidelined since suffering a concussion on March 11, ten days before Chivas USA's first match of the season.

Jazic, who joined Chivas USA in a SuperDraft-day trade with the LA Galaxy on Jan. 15, is in his fourth season in Major League Soccer, having made 44 appearances (41 starts) with LA, notching three assists. A native of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Jazic has also earned 23 caps for the Canadian National Team, and played in Russia, Austria, and Croatia before coming to MLS.

Chivas USA faces two difficult road games this week, starting Wednesday at the Houston Dynamo in a match that will be broadcast live on ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes at 5:30 p.m. PT (7:30 p.m. CT). The team then plays at the Columbus Crew on Sunday, June 14, at 12:00 noon PT (3:00 p.m. ET) on TeleFutura and Prime Ticket. Both matches will also be broadcast live by W Radio 690 AM in Southern California.

The following weekend, Chivas USA then opens its participation in the 2009 SuperLiga on June 20 vs. Tigres UANL of the Mexican First Division. For more information, please call 1-877-CHIVAS-1 or visit cdchivasusa.com.
