
Chilliwack gets ready for white out conditions

The Chilliwack Bruins continue their first round playoff series vs the Vancouver Giants Tuesday night in Chilliwack. Game time is 7pm. Tickets for games three and four are still available and can be purchased at any ticketmaster location or by calling 1800.663.9311. The teams split games one and two held in Vancouver Friday and Saturday night. On Friday, the Giants came back from a 4-2 deficit in the third period to defeat the Bruins 5-4 in overtime. Saturday night, Donnie Glennie's goal a the 7:00 mark of the third period broke a 1-1 tie and proved to be the winnner in a 3-1 Bruins victory.

Fans attending games three and four are encouraged to create white out conditions by wearing white in support of the Bruins.
Game Notes:
After going 3/44 on the powerplay in eight regular season games vs the Giants, the Bruins are 5/14 through the first two games of the series...in game one Friday night...Matt Esposito, Matt Cline and Colton Graf did not play in game one due to injuries. 16 year old forward Liam Darragh (Princeton Posse, KIJHL) has been called up by the Bruins. Darragh had 14 goals and 14 assists in 47 games with the Posse this season. The Bruins have also called up 16 year old forward Brayden Metz. Metz was acquired from the Regina Pats in a trade for Myles Stoesz in January. The 6'0 170lb native of Regina Saskatchewan split this season between the Regina Pat Canadians and the Saskatoon Contacts of the Saskatchewan AAA Midget league. In 43 games this season he had 12 goals, 15 assists and added 104 penalty minutes. 16 year old goaltender Marc Friesen has also joined the Bruins after completing his season with the Pembina Valley Hawks of the Manitoba Midget AAA League. Friesen had a 13-5-2 recor d through the regular season with three shutouts and a goals against average of 2.19. Ryan Howse, the Bruins first pick in the 2006 WHL Bantam Draft has rejoined the Bruins after completing his season with the Cariboo Cougars Major Midget team. In 31 regular season games this season, Howse had 21 goals and 16 assists. Howse played five regular season games for the Bruins this season, scoring one goal...Mark Santorelli (2g 2a) and Josh Aspenlind (2g 2a) are tied for the early WHL playoff scoring lead ...Of the 20 players that dressed for the Bruins in games one and two, only five had previous WHL playoff experience. Dylan Chapman is the most experienced with 21 games to his credit, followed by Craig Lineker (19), Ken Petkau (5), Josh Aspenlind (4) and Donnie Glennie (1).
