
Aspenlind Named WHL Player of the Week

Calgary - The BOSTON PIZZA WHL Player of the Week is forward Josh Aspenlind of the Chilliwack Bruins. Aspenlind earned player of the week honours by scoring two goals and four points during the first two games of the WHL Kal Tire Western Conference Quarter-Finals best-of-seven series against the Vancouver Giants. The series is tied at 1-1.
On Friday, March 23rd, Aspenlind scored a power play goal and added an assist as the visiting Bruins fell 5-4 in overtime in Game 1 in Vancouver.
On Saturday, March 24th, Aspenlind notched a goal and added an assist, and was named the game's 2nd star as the Bruins pulled off a 3-1 victory over the Giants in Vancouver. It was Chilliwack's first ever triumph over the Giants, and evened up the series at a game apiece.
Games 3 and 4 of the series continue Tuesday and Wednesday from Chilliwack. Game time for both games is 7:00 PM, Pacific.
Aspenlind, a 20-year-old from Langley, B.C., is in his fourth WHL season, and is a free agent.
