The Bruins are back in action this weekend when they welcome the Prince George Cougars and Vancouver Giants to town. Chilliwack defeated Kamloops 5-4 in a shootout on home ice Saturday to open the 2008/09 season.

The Cougars, who opened the season with a pair of home ice wins over the Seattle Thunderbirds last weekend are the opposition Saturday night. Game time is 7pm. Former Bruins Cody Hobbs and Colby Kulhanek are expected to be in the lineup for the Cougars.

Chilliwack Bruins Vancouver Giants 5pm Prospera Centre

The Vancouver Giants make their first regular season appearance at Prospera Centre on Sunday. Puck drops at 5pm. The Bruins faced the Giants twice during the post season, dropping a 2-1 decision in Ladner before defeating their arch rivals 8-3 on home ice earlier this month. In that game, the line of Ryan Howse, Jadon Potter and Kevin Sundher combined for five goals and 11 points.
