The Kelowna Rockets went 4-for-11 on the powerplay en route to a 6-2 win over the Blazers on Friday night at ISC.
Colin Long, Collin Bowman, Cody Almond, Stepan Novotny, Kyle St. Denis, and Brandon McMillan tallied for the Rockets who held period leads of 2-1 and 4-1. Nick Ross and Shayne Wiebe - with his 5th of the season - scored for the Blazers. Shots were 40-27 in favour of the Rockets with Kris Lazaruk getting the win and Justin Leclerc taking the loss. The Blazers were 1-for-7 with the extra man.
The rematch in this home-and-home weekend goes Saturday in Kelowna.
