Chiefs To Meet Fans On October 8

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. - The Johnstown Chiefs announced today that, in conjunction with the UPJ Icecats, the team will hold a special meet-and-greet on Thursday, October 8.

The Icecats will play their home opener that night against St. Vincent College. It will be the Icecats' first regular season game at the UPMC Health Plan Ice Rink at the Cambria County War Memorial, and face off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Fans will be able to meet the Chiefs players in Johnstown for this season's training camp beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Stars and Stripes room on the second floor of the War Memorial. The meet-and-greet will last until 8:00, but the fun won't end there. As a special bonus, anyone who attends the Chiefs meet-and-greet will get free admission to the UPJ game that night and free pizza and soda at the post-game party. There is no cost to get into the Chiefs' meet-and-greet event.

"It's going to be a thrilling night for hockey in Johnstown. There's a lot of excitement around the start of the Chiefs' season and we are going to put on a great show for those excited hockey fans," said Icecats head coach David Layman.
