Chiefs forward Brad Schell added a goal and an assist and Joel Rupprecht added a shorthanded goal as the Spokane Chiefs down the Everett Silvertips 4-1 at the Everett Events Center on Friday night. With the loss, the Silvertips record falls to 17-16-7-1.
The lone Silvertips goal was scored by Curtis Billsten with assists from Shaun Heshka and Riley Armstrong. Everett outshot Spokane by a margin of 33-18 in the hockey game. The Tips' went 0 for 9 on the power play and the Chiefs went 1 for 8 on the extra man advantage.
The Silvertips will be back in action on Saturday night when the Portland WinterHawks come to the Everett Events Center. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m.
