Peoria, IL - The scheduled Monday afternoon game between the Peoria Chiefs and South Bend Silver Hawks was cancelled due to consistent rain at O'Brien Field and thunderstorms in the forecast Monday afternoon.

Since the Chiefs and Silver Hawks will not play the rest of the fist half, the game will not be made up. Tickets for Monday afternoon's game can be redeemed for any 2009 regular season Chiefs game based on availability.

The next Chiefs home game will be Tuesday at 6:30 PM against the Clinton LumberKings. The Chiefs will send Chris Carpenter (1-3, 2.97) to the mound against Clinton starter Bobby LaFromboise (2-1, 2.76). It is also KRAFT Singles night when fans can bring in a KRAFT Singles package wrapper/proof of purchase for a Buy One Get One Free from Kraft Singles ticket offer.
