The Spokane Chiefs hit double digits on Saturday night with an 11-2 victory over the Edmonton Oil Kings in the Spokane Arena. The 11 goals is the most they have ever scored in the Arena and the most they have scored since a 10-1 win over the Tri-City Americans on February 26th, 2000.

The franchise record for goals is 16, set on January 30th, 2008 in a 16-7 win over Moose Jaw.

Eight different players scored as Drayson Bowman, Tyler Johnson and Dustin Donaghy had two a piece in the Chiefs third straight win. Spokane has one game remaining this week in the four-game in five night stretch when they host the Prince George Cougars on Sunday night at 6:00.

Jared Spurgeon had one goal and four assists to pace Spokane and eight different players had multiple points.

Brett Bartman, Bowman, Johnson and Roman gave the Chiefs a 4-1 lead in the first period. Levko Koper, Jared Spurgeon, Blake Gal and Bowman scored in the second for an 8-1 lead through 40-minutes. Johnson and Donaghy had the three goals in the third.

Dustin Tokarski stopped 22 shots for his 70th career win.

Spokane was 2-4 on the power play and killed off Edmonton's only man-advantage of the night.

Sunday night, the first 3,000 fans through the gates will receive a team poster courtesy of XO Communications, 93.7 the Cat and Krem 2.
