
Chiefs Earn First Point

Johnstown Chiefs News Release
The Johnstown Chiefs lost in overtime to Toledo, 5-4, Wednesday night. The Chiefs held a 4-1 lead in the 3rd period, but could not hold it as Toledo scored twice in the final minute. Scooter Smith scored the game winner.
J.B. Bittner scored his first professional goal, and Brady Greco, assigned Wednesday, scored his first as a Chief. Paul Caponigri and Jean Desrochers also added goals for Johnstown, which picked up its first point of the season. The Chiefs are now 0-2-1.
Toledo stormed back, late in the third period. Ken Magowan netted the natural hat trick, scoring twice in the final minute, 19 seconds apart. Scooter Smith scored the other two goals for Toledo, which improved to 2-1-0.
The Chiefs are at home Friday night against the defending Kelly Cup champion, Trenton Titans. Tickets are available by calling the box office at 536-5156 or 1-800-Slapshot.
