
Chiefs drop 3-1 decision to Warriors

Despite outshooting the Moose Jaw Warriors 38-32, including 15-6 in the first period, the Spokane Chiefs dropped a 3-1 decision on Friday night in the Spokane Arena.
Moose Jaw scored a shorthanded goal 8:36 into the first period on one of the Chiefs five power plays in the opening frame. The Warriors made it 2-0 8:14 into the second.
At 18:23 of the period Chad Klassen tipped home a rebound of a Jeff Lynch shot for his team leading 27th of the season. Brad Schell and Lynch assisted on the goal.
With time expiring and the Chiefs skating with an extra attacker Moose Jaw found the open net as time expired for the final margin.
The Chiefs will return to the Spokane Arena on Saturday night as they host the Prince George Cougars on NAPA Buck Night. Pepsi products, popcorn and hot dogs will all be available for only $1.
