Spokane, WA - The Vancouver Giants lost 10-1 to the Spokane Chiefs on Friday evening at Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena. Ty Ronning had Vancouver's lone goal.
The Chiefs struck first just over five minutes into the game when Hudson Elynuik tallied his first goal of the night on a power play. Ronning equalized for Vancouver a few minutes later, scoring his eighth goal of the season on a rebound, but Hayden Ostir put Spokane ahead again with another goal on a man advantage later in the period.
Taylor Ross scored a power play goal in the second period while Curtis Miske and Jaret Anderson-Dolan found the net at even strength. Anderson-Dolan and Elynuik each scored twice more in the third period while Eli Zummack bagged his first goal in the league.
Vancouver was out shot 29-23. Spokane went 5-for-7 on the power play.
The Giants will conclude their US Division road trip on Saturday night against the Tri-City Americans. Puck drop is slated for 7:05pm.
