The Regina Pats (17-2-3-0) wrap up their six game road trip in Kelowna on Saturday against the Rockets (13-11-0-0). Puck drop is at 9 p.m. Regina time at Prospera Place. The Pats are coming off a 3-0 shutout win over the Kamloops Blazers on Friday night. The Rockets are coming off a 6-2 loss to the Victoria Royals on Tuesday. Today is the first and only meeting of the season between the two clubs. Tonight's game can be heard on 620 CKRM with Bennett Dunlop Ford Pats Hockey beginning at 8:35 p.m.

Lead Up: Tyler Brown Shuts Down Blazers Tyler Brown recorded a 37 save shutout to lead the Pats to a 3-0 win in Kamloops over the Blazers on Friday night. After a scoreless first, the Pats took the lead when Austin Wagner beat a screened Connor Ingram late in the second for his 11th of the year and it was 1-0. It stayed that way until late when The Blazers pulled Ingram for the extra attacker. The Pats scored twice into the empty cage and improved to 17-2-3-0 with a 3-0 win. The penalty kill was eight for eight with a shorthanded goal. Adam Brooks paced the offence with a goal and two helpers and extended his point streak to 16 games. The Blazers outshot the Pats 37-35 in the contest.
Brown Stellar Pats starting goaltender Tyler Brown put forward his best game of the season on Friday in Kamloops. The 19-year-old Winnipeg product made 37 saves for his first shutout of the season. Brown stopped 16 shots in the first, seven in the second and 14 more in the third. He was a big part of the Pats going eight for eight on the penalty kill in the win. After giving up three goals in the first 13:30 of Tuesday's game in Prince George, Brown has gone 106:30 without giving up a goal and has stopped 57 straight attempts on goal. For his career, Brown has recorded five shutouts in his WHL career, three in the regular season and two in the playoffs.
Penalty Kill Shines The Pats penalty kill was a perfect eight for eight on Friday night in Kamloops and scored a shorthanded goal, thanks to Sergey Zborovskiy, in the final minute into an empty net. For the year, the Pats PK is seventh in the WHL at 80.8 per cent (97 for 120). The club leads the WHL with 14 shorthanded goals through the first 22 games of the year and are averaging .63 shorthanded goals per game and a goal every 8.5 times shorthanded. The WHL record for most shorthanded goals in a season is 31, set by the 1990-91 Spokane Chiefs.
Zborovskiy Plus New York Rangers prospect defenceman Sergey Zborovskiy tied teammate Chase Harrison for the WHL lead in plus minus on Friday night. The Moscow, Russia product was a plus three for the Pats in Kamloops and that brings his season total to plus 29 in 19 games. Harrison was a plus one on Friday and he and Zborovskiy are nine ahead of third place Adam Brooks who is plus 20 on the year. The Pats have the top five plus/minus leaders in the WHL with Harrison and Zborovskiy at number one, Brooks next and then Sam Steel at plus 18 and Austin Wagner at plus 17 in 5th. Defenceman Connor Hobbs and forward Dawson Leedahl are also in the top 10 at plus 14 on the season.
