Oklahoma City Comets News Release
OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma City RedHawks' home field, Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, was recently named one of the country's best minor league ballparks by USA TODAY.
The stadium is one of 20 nominees for "Best Minor League Ballpark" as part of the 10Best Readers' Choice Awards, organized The USA TODAY Travel Media Group.
Readers, users and fans will have four weeks to vote for the "Best Minor League Ballpark" and the winner will be revealed on 10Best.com Wednesday, August 14. The public can vote online for one nominee per category, per day, during the four-week period until noon on August 12.
Nominees were selected by a panel of relevant experts, including editors from USA TODAY and 10Best.com, as well as contributors and sources for both media and other Gannett properties. Ballpark vistas, amenities, architecture and homage to Major League fields or legendary players were all considered by the experts when selecting the nominees.
