
Chicago Sky Waive Sydney Carter

CHICAGO, June 26, 2012 - The Chicago Sky announced today that guard Sydney Carter has been waived from the team.
Carter, a 5-foot 6-inch guard, was selected by the Sky with 27th pick of the 2012 Draft from Texas A&M. She appeared in one game for Chicago on June 23 at Minnesota and recorded four points and one steal in just under nine minutes of play.
"Sydney has continued to impress me in her short time with us," said Chicago Sky Head Coach and General Manager Pokey Chatman. "She will remain on my short list of quality players."
Chicago begins a four game home stand on Wednesday, June 27 vs. the Indiana Fever at 11:30 a.m. before hosting the Phoenix Mercury on June 29, the Atlanta Dream on July 1 and the New York Liberty on July 6.
