Chicago Stars FC News Release
The Chicago Red Stars will play a preseason match against Racing Louisville FC Saturday, February 18, in Indianapolis, Indiana. This historic match will be the first-ever match the Red Stars play in Indianapolis.
The closed scrimmage match will serve as a way for the Red Stars to evaluate their new and younger players. The Red Stars entered preseason with 17 new players including: Jenna Bike and Addie McCain, both acquired via the waiver wire; Julia Bianchi, signed during the offseason; Cari Roccaro, who joined the team via a trade with Angel City FC; and Penelope Hocking (Penn State), Sophie Jones (Duke) and Ally Schlegel, all who the club drafted in the 2023 National Women's Soccer League Draft.
The match will be closed to the public and is part of an invitation from Indy Eleven, Indianapolis' United Soccer League club.
