CHICAGO, Ill. - The Chicago Red Stars closed out a three-game homestand with a win against the Houston Dash tonight behind a brace from Mallory Pugh.

'13 cross from Pugh finds St-Geroges in the box, but takes a bad bounce over the crossbar

'31 Pugh finds the back of the net after a pass from DiBernardo finds her running toward goal

'41 Stevens finds St-Georges open on the right side, but she sails a shot over the cross bar

'43 Kowalski beats Houston's forward to a ball and clears the danger

'47 Stevens' goal gets called back for a hand ball

'74 Kowalski slides to block an open shot from Houston's forward

Zoe Morse started her fourth straight match tonight. Her efforts on the backline helped the Red Stars slow Houston's attack through Nichelle Prince

Amanda Kowalski earned her first appearance and start tonight. She joins Mikenna McManus as the second Red Stars rookie to earn her first appearance and start this week. Sarah Griffith and Ava Cook also made their first starts during this three-game homestand
