Chicago Red Stars Finalize 2022 Roster

Chicago, Ill. - Today the Chicago Red Stars made the final updates to their roster ahead of the 2022 National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) Challenge Cup.

The Red Stars roster now stands at 26 players, with a majority of the roster consisting of players that led the Red Stars to the 2021 NWSL Championship. Joining the veteran core are rookies Jill Aguilera, Ava Cook, Samantha Fisher, Channing Foster, Sarah Griffith and Mikenna McManus.

The Red Stars begin 2022 competition Sunday, March 20, against the Houston Dash on the opening weekend of the 2022 NWSL Challenge Cup. Kickoff from PNC Stadium is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. CT, and will be broadcasted on Paramount+.
