October 19, 2015 - Major Arena Soccer League (MASL)
Chicago Mustangs News Release

The Chicago Mustangs hosted the F.C. Adrenaline at Grand Sports Arena in Hoffman Estates as the PASL Premier team came into the arena with a very impressive 2014-15 campaign. The Adrenaline had a successful season accumulating a 9-1 record. The entire Mustangs squad were prepared to make amends for the defensive lapses against the Cedar Rapids Rampage as they gave up ten goals.

As the game started, it took the Adrenaline only 25 seconds to tally the first goal of the game with their first shot on goal that quieted the home crowd for a few minutes. At 10:10 of the first quarter, Taylor Bond powered the first goal of the game for the Mustangs that propelled the team into a scoring frenzy for the second night in a row. The Mustangs would add two more goals as the first quarter saw the Mustangs ahead 3-1.

The second quarter featured several more goals as the teams headed into the locker room with the Mustangs ahead 4-3. The first half was reminiscent of the previous game where the teams were a little tight the first two quarters but again, the Mustangs were a completely different team as they came out for the second half.

The Mustangs opened the third quarter with a sensational score by Miguel Vaca, who enjoyed a two goal game in front of a very frantic crowd. At the 3:49 mark, Douglas Dos Santos came out of no where to score a goal as the Adrenaline were on the power play which seemed to take the wind out of the Adrenaline. The Mustangs would add two more goals as the third period came to a close with the Mustangs ahead 7-3.

The fourth quarter started with a bang as Alexis Camarena scored at the 14:31 mark as he also enjoyed a two goal game. The Mustangs added three more goals as they set themselves into a very comfortable lead as they coasted to a lopsided victory. "Tonight's victory saw dramatic improvement on our defense and we are pleased with another 11 goal offensive show" said Mustangs Head Coach, Armando Gamboa. " We have a lot work ahead of us as we prepare to open up against the Milwaukee Wave on October 31st" he added.

The Mustangs open the 2015-16 season at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates at 7:05 PM. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. and the night will feature the largest Trick or Treat Party courtesy of the Mayor's Office of Special Events.
