BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (May 7, 2008) - The Chicago Fire announced today they have waived Brazilian defender Bruno Menezes.
Menezes, 24, played in 3 games, starting 2, registering no goals or assists in 208 minutes of action in 2007. The Santos, Brazil native did not appear for the Fire first team in 2008.
The Chicago Fire (3-1-1, 10 pts.) take to the road to play their second of three regular season meetings against the New England Revolution (3-2-1, 10 pts.) this Saturday, May 3, at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass (My50 Chicago, 6:30 CT).
