Chicago Fire to Face New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium on Saturday

The Chicago Fire (7-15-6, 27 points) will travel to face the New England Revolution (8-10-10, 34 points) at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 6:30 p.m. CT (ESPN+/Univision Radio WRTO AM 1200). Coverage begins at 6:15 p.m. CT with a live pregame show on ESPN+ presented by CIBC.

Saturday's match marks the second and final regular-season meeting between the two sides in 2018. Midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger scored in the 63rd minute as both teams split the points in a 1-1 draw at Toyota Park on June 9.

Fans in the Chicagoland area are invited to the Chicago Fire vs. New England Revolution Watch Party at Heineken Pub97, located at the CIBC Fire Pitch (3626 N. Talman Ave., Chicago, IL 60618). Fans are invited to enjoy the game on one of 12 big screen televisions, while taking part in Chicago Fire Bingo, $4 Heineken drafts and $7 Fire-Ritas.

CHICAGO FIRE vs. NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION

The Fire hold a 26-21-12 all-time regular-season record against the Revolution. Entering Saturday's match, the Fire have suffered just one loss in its last five league games against the Revolution, tallying a 4-0-1 record since Oct. 16, 2016.

Revolution defender Jalil Anibaba spent the first three seasons of his professional career as a member of the Fire. From 2011-13, Anibaba appeared in 96 regular-season matches, posting four goals and five assists.

NEMANJA NIKOLIC STRIKE RATE

With his brace against Orlando City SC on Sept. 16, forward Nemanja Nikolic tallied his 38th MLS career goal since joining the league prior to the start of the 2017 season. Nikolic trails only Atlanta United's Josef Martinez, who has 47 goals to his credit in the same span.

The reigning MLS Golden Boot winner, Nikolic currently sits in fourth place on the 2018 goal-scoring chart with 14 goals in 25 games played.

CHICAGO FIRE FOUNDATION TO HOST SECOND ANNUAL FIRE-TOBER FEST

The Chicago Fire Foundation, the charitable arm of the Chicago Fire Soccer Club, will hold its second-annual Fire-Tober Fest on Saturday, Sept. 22 at Old Crow Smokehouse (149 W. Kinzie Street) from noon to 3 p.m. CT.

Guests 21 and older are invited to find their perfect pint while enjoying selections from various local breweries and tasty bites.

Early bird tickets for an afternoon of beer, food, raffles and more begin at $50 and are available here.

All proceeds benefit the Chicago Fire Foundation's P.L.A.Y.S (Participate, Learn, Achieve, Youth, Soccer) Program. Recently nominated as a finalist for ESPN's 2018 Sports Humanitarian Team of the Year Award, P.L.A.Y.S was created to address the lack of after-school programming and the need to improve academic performance in Chicago Public Schools. Through a soccer and social and emotional learning (SEL) based curriculum, program participants engage in five out-of-school hours per week over 10 weeks and participate in three game days.
