FIRE RETURN TO CHICAGO, FACE HOUSTON DYNAMO ON SATURDAY

After back-to-back road matches, Chicago Fire FC returns to the Windy City on Saturday night. In their first matchup against a Western Conference foe this season, the Fire will host reigning Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup champion Houston Dynamo FC, who are led by Mexican international Hector Herrera. For the 29th time in Club history, the Fire will take on Houston, with Saturday marking the 15th all-time home match for Chicago. Despite facing Houston in last year's U.S. Open Cup Round of 16, this will mark the Fire's first match against Houston in the regular season since the 2022 season.

The Fire have an all-time record of 8-12-8 against the Dynamo, with Chicago holding a 5-5-4 record in the Windy City. Saturday marks just the second time the two sides will meet at Soldier Field, with the previous matchup resulting in a 4-0 victory for the Fire on Sept. 23, 2020. This will be Chicago's first time hosting a regular season home match against Houston in four seasons.

Kickoff for Saturday's contest is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT. Additionally, the match will be broadcast live on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV. The match will also be transmitted locally in English on wlsam.com and in Spanish on WRTO 1200 AM.
