
Chicago Fire FC Name Jordan Zelik as Chief of Staff

CHICAGO - Chicago Fire FC today announced the hiring of Jordan Zelik as Chief of Staff for business operations. He joins the Fire having spent the past three years with Yahoo Sports.
"Jordan's expertise in building and driving corporate strategy makes him a great addition to the leadership team," said President of Business Operations Ishwara Glassman Chrein. "With significant experience developing successful partnerships and relationships, he will play a critical role as we look to build a positive and lasting impact on the growth of the game here in the city of Chicago."
Zelik will report to Glassman Chrein and will oversee all aspects of the business, focusing on revenue generating opportunities. His responsibilities include managing the Club's media and technology relationships, as well as developing and executing on new business initiatives across the Club, including sports betting.
A sports industry veteran, Zelik's most recent role was with Yahoo Sports where he was responsible for developing strategic partnerships with major sports leagues and organizations, betting and fantasy companies, broadcasters and digital media companies, among others. Notably, Zelik led Yahoo's relationships with the National Football League (NFL), Major League Baseball (MLB) and National Hockey League (NHL), as well as securing a multi-year partnership with BetMGM.
Prior to his time at Yahoo Sports, he was with the NHL where he was a key member of the media strategy team, helping to expand the league's domestic and international media business, while working closely with NHL clubs and partners. In addition, Zelik worked to develop global business development opportunities for the league, including helping to establish NHL China.
A graduate of University of Southern California, Zelik earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus in Corporate Finance. Zelik is a native of Buffalo Grove, Ill.
