Chicago Fire Continue Road Swing against Atlanta Silverbacks and New England Revolution

CHICAGO FIRE CONTINUE LAMAR HUNT U.S. OPEN CUP RUN, TRAVEL TO TAKE ON LONG-TIME EASTERN CONFERENCE FOES REVOLUTION

The Chicago Fire (2-4-10, 16 points) continue their busy July with road matches against NASL's Atlanta Silverbacks for the quarterfinals of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday, July 9 at Silverbacks Park at 6:30 p.m. CT. The match will be available via web stream at www.Chicago-Fire.com.

Just three days later, the Fire take on the New England Revolution (7-7-2, 23 points) at Gillette Stadium on Saturday, July 12 at 6:30 p.m. CT (My50/TWCSC Wisconsin/La Ley 107.9 FM). This match marks the fourth competitive match for the Fire in the first two weeks of July.

CHICAGO FIRE AT ATLANTA SILVERBACKS

- The Fire are 35-11-4 all-time in Open Cup play.

- The Men in Red advanced to the quarterfinals with a 4-2 overtime win over the Columbus Crew on June 25.

- The Silverbacks advanced with a 2-1 victory over the Colorado Rapids on June 24.

- The Fire have reached the semifinal round nine out of 16 times and the final six times, and have previously hoisted the Dewar Trophy four times, in 1998, 2000, 2003 and 2006.

CHICAGO FIRE AT NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION

- The Fire are 20-17-10 all-time in regular season matches against the Revolution, and 8-12-3 on the road.

- The Fire last picked up a point at Gillette Stadium on June 18, 2011 in a 1-1 draw.

- This is the second of three meetings between the two sides this season. The Fire hosted the first leg, a 1-1 draw on April 19 at Toyota Park. The series will conclude at Gillette Stadium on Sept. 7.

- Forward Quincy Amarikwa will return for this match after serving a one-game suspension for yellow card accumulation.

- Selected by the Revolution in the fourth round (45th overall) in the 2005 MLS Supplemental Draft, Larentowicz made 111 regular season appearances for the Revolution from 2005-2009. In his first three seasons with the club, the Revolution reached three consecutive MLS Cup finals.

CHICAGO FIRE HOST TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR FC JULY 26 AT TOYOTA PARK

The Chicago Fire Soccer Club will welcome Barclays Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur to Toyota Park in an international friendly on Saturday, July 26 at 7 p.m. CT (ESPN2).

This is just the fifth time that the Fire will welcome an English side to the Chicagoland area. The Men in Red are 2-2-0 in international friendlies against clubs from England, including Aston Villa, Manchester United, Everton and Derby County.
