
Chicago Fire Acquires $100,000 in General Allocation Money from Atlanta United

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. - The Chicago Fire Soccer Club today announced that it has acquired $100,000 in 2020 General Allocation Money (GAM) from Atlanta United. In exchange, the Fire traded midfielder Mo Adams to Atlanta.
"This transaction was made with a design for another one this window," said Chicago Fire President and General Manager Nelson Rodriguez. "We wish Mo good luck."
Adams, 22, was selected by the Fire as the No. 10 overall pick in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft. He made his professional debut with the Club on April 21, 2018, starting and playing 90 minutes in a 2-1 away win against the New York Red Bulls. Across two seasons with the Fire, the Nottingham, England, native made 25 appearances and 15 starts in league play, tallying one assist.
