Cheetahs fall, 13-12

Crestwood, IL- The Cook County Cheetahs (17-19) snapped their four game winning streak with a 13-12 loss to the Rockford RiverHawks (20-16) this evening.. It was a high-octane game as there were 25 runs scored along with 32 hits. There were a total of 5 home runs, and 4 doubles. The big hitters for the Cheetahs tonight were, Mack Pacoirek, Chuck Van Robays, and Chris Barry. The three combined for 7 RBI. The teams also combined to go through 12 pitchers. The losing pitcher for the Cheetahs was newcomer Tom Davidson (0-1).

The RiverHawks have now won four consecutive games, which is currently tied for the longest current winning streak in the Frontier League. Winning pitcher for the RiverHawks was Justin Dowdy. Dowdy's record is now 2-1 on the season.
