New York Liberty News Release

New York claimed its first win at The Garden yesterday in a thrilling 61-58 win over Washington. The team came back from an 11-point deficit in the second half to take the game. Be there on Sunday when the Liberty hosts the Detroit Shock at 1:00 p.m. at The Garden. Cheer on the team as it looks to exact revenge on the Shock, whom the Liberty lost to in Detroit on June 1.

Sunday is Teacher Appreciation Day at The Garden! UFT President Randi Weingarten and other educators will be honored during the game. So come join the Liberty in showing our gratitude for the difference teachers make in the lives of New York children.

Why not stop by the Team Store to pick up your teacher a token of appreciation? For Sunday only, all Liberty wrist and headbands are specially priced at $5, as well as classic navy logo hats for only $10! Candy at the concession stands will be reduced on Sunday also. Satisfy your sweet tooth and save $1 on all candy while you're at the game.

Tickets are still available! To catch all the excitement of Liberty basketball, purchase your tickets now at the MSG Box Office, by phone at 877-WNBA-TIX or online at nyliberty.com.

Before New York plays in front of its home fans again, the Liberty travel to Indiana on Friday for an 8:00 p.m. match-up with the Fever. You can follow every fast break on MSG Network. Make sure to tune in and support your team even on the road!
