Checkers Unveil Hornets Night Jerseys

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte Checkers have unveiled specialty jerseys for the first ever Hornets Night, presented by Husqvarna, set to take place this Saturday, Nov. 29, at 7 p.m.

The jerseys, which feature Charlotte Hornets colors and primary logo on the crest along with a modified Checkers logo on the shoulders, will be available for auction immediately following the game to benefit the Checkers Charitable Foundation and the Charlotte Hornets Foundation. Photos are attached to this release.

The Checkers are also offering the chance to win a jersey and two games tickets via an online enter-to-win promotion that is now open at http://gocheckers.com/hornetsjersey . Aside from Saturday's auction, this will be the only opportunity to obtain a jersey.

Other Hornets Night merchandise, including hats, t-shirts, pucks and more, will be available for sale beginning with the Checkers' Black Friday sale at their EpiCentre office and continuing throughout the game. Those who make a purchase of any kind at the EpiCentre on Friday will receive two free tickets to the Checkers' game against San Antonio on Sunday, Dec. 21.

Festivities for the first-ever Hornets Night will include appearances by Hugo, the Hornets' mascot, and the Honey Bees dance team. The first 1,000 fans to arrive will receive a commemorative puck. Fans who run the Charlotte Checkers 5K on the morning of the game will receive a free game ticket.
