The Charlotte Checkers announced today that they have launched an updated version of their Web site at www.gocheckers.com
The Web site sports a new, edgier look complete with additional multimedia options which give the user an in-depth view at the Charlotte Checkers hockey team. "Our fans are asking for a closer look at the team and more behind the scenes access into the organization," said director of media relations and broadcasting, Jason Shaya. "Over the course of the season, we are going to pack our Web site with many of the things sports fans love to see."
The Checkers Web site has some new features including blogs from players, coaches and the staff. Also included will be more video content including game highlights and special Checkers produced segments which will give fans a unique perspective of different aspects of the Checkers organization.
The Checkers enter their 15th season of play as a member of the ECHL on Oct. 19 against the Columbia Inferno. In the team's 14-year history, the Checkers have made the playoffs 10 times including three consecutive playoff appearances to date. The Checkers will enter their third season of play at St. Lawrence Homes Home Ice at Charlotte Bobcats Arena this fall. Season tickets are on sale now with full-season packages starting at just $399.
