
Checkers announce preseason events

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte Checkers released a schedule of preseason events today including a Season Ticket Holder/Meet the Team Party, inaugural Blue/White game, Fan Fest and exhibition game.
The events begin with the Season Ticket Holder/Meet the Team Party on Wednesday, October 11 from 5:30 - 8:00 pm at the Best Western Charlotte Uptown. This is the first chance for Season Ticket Holders to pick up their tickets and limited-edition jersey as well as mingle with the players, coaches and staff.
On Friday, October 13, the Checkers will hold the inaugural Blue/White game at 4:30 pm at Extreme Ice Center in Indian Trail. The Blue/White game is open and free to the public.
The Checkers will host a Fan Fest and exhibition game Saturday, October 14 at Extreme Ice Center. The Fan Fest kicks off the day at 12:00 pm and will include activities for kids provided. The Checkers will take the ice vs. the South Carolina Stingrays at 1:30 pm. The Fan Fest will continue following the game until 5:00 pm. The Fan Fest activities are free to the public and admission to the game is $5.
The Charlotte Checkers open their 14th season in the ECHL Friday, Oct. 20 at 7:30 pm against the Wheeling Nailers at St. Lawrence Homes Home Ice at Charlotte Bobcats Arena. Season tickets are on sale now and single game tickets will go on sale October 4. Call 704-342-4-ICE (4423) to purchase your tickets today.
